Coaches are Covid Safe

Coach operators have introduced new Covid-19 safety procedures to ensure your safety.

Hand sanitiser

Hand sanitiser stations may be available on coaches for you to use as you board and you are encouraged to bring hand sanitiser gel for use during your journey.

Face coverings

Government guidelines require the wearing of a face covering or mask when travelling on board.

Getting on board

Your coach tour staff will explain their safe procedures for boarding and alighting which may take a little longer than usual. The capacity of coaches may be reduced to help with social distancing, please observe all signage on board.

Enhanced cleaning

A range of enhanced cleaning processes are being deployed by coach operators including aerosol based disinfection fogging with antiviral solutions, and all key touch points including handrails, armrests, seat belts and toilets are cleaned regularly using antiviral products.

Toilets

On board toilets where supplied, will be cleaned regularly using fogging and antiviral solutions.

Air filtration

Most tour coaches have very efficient air-conditioning systems and good fresh air circulation. Many coaches now have additional air filtering to help tackle airborne particulates and improve air quality on board even further.

Social distancing

Please maintain a safe social distance between yourself and the tour driver and staff and other passengers outside your household. People from the same household may be able to sit together. Signage on board will clearly mark any seats which should be left vacant and on-board announcements may be made to explain the safety procedures.

Driver safety

Your coach tour driver and staff are equipped with their own safety equipment and have been fully trained in all the new safety procedures in order to help you have a safe journey.
